Terms of Service & Biblical Counseling Notice
Black River Biblical Counseling & Black River Nurse Consulting
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Black River Biblical Counseling & Black River Nurse Consulting provides Scripture-centered biblical counseling, nursing consultation, breastfeeding education, and supportive services for females.
By accessing this website, scheduling services, submitting information, or participating in services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Services
Services may include:
Scripture-centered biblical counseling for women, teen girls, and girls
Breastfeeding and lactation education
Nursing consultation and education
Family and supportive services
Services are educational, supportive, and consultative in nature and are provided within the applicable scope of practice.
Services do not replace appropriate medical care, licensed mental-health care, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
2. Biblical Counseling & ACBC Training
Biblical counseling is Christ-centered, Scripture-based discipleship grounded in the authority and sufficiency of God's Word.
Counseling seeks to encourage counselees to understand their struggles through Scripture and grow in faith, repentance, obedience, and Christlikeness through the hope of the gospel.
Biblical counseling may include:
Understanding and applying Scripture
Examining thoughts, desires, emotions, and actions in light of God's Word
Biblical encouragement, correction, and practical application
Prayer and gospel-centered hope
Biblical counseling is not psychotherapy, psychological evaluation, psychiatric care, or licensed mental-health treatment.
Services provided as part of ACBC Phase 3 certification training follow applicable ACBC requirements. Counseling records may be reviewed as part of required supervision and certification.
Audio Recording
Counseling sessions may be audio recorded for ACBC supervision and training purposes only with separate written consent. Recordings are used for training and certification purposes and handled with appropriate confidentiality.
3. Nursing & Lactation Services
Nursing consultation and lactation education are provided by Sarah Zavatchin, RN, BSN, CLC, a Wisconsin-licensed Registered Nurse.
These services are educational and supportive and do not replace individualized care from a physician or other qualified healthcare provider.
4. Confidentiality
Information shared during counseling or consultation is treated with care and kept as private as reasonably possible.
Confidentiality may be limited when disclosure is:
Required by law
Necessary to address a safety concern
Required by mandatory reporting obligations
Necessary for appropriate ACBC supervision or certification
Specific counseling confidentiality terms will be provided in the required counseling consent documents.
5. Love Gifts & Payment
Biblical counseling provided during ACBC certification training is offered through optional love gifts. A love gift is not required to receive counseling and does not affect access to services.
Payment terms for other services will be communicated before scheduling.
6. Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to communicate respectfully and appropriately. Services may be declined, paused, or discontinued when behavior becomes threatening, abusive, unsafe, or inconsistent with a respectful counseling or consultation environment.
7. Intellectual Property
Website content, written materials, graphics, logos, educational resources, and downloadable materials are the property of Black River Biblical Counseling & Black River Nurse Consulting unless otherwise stated.
Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Information and services provided through this website are educational, supportive, and consultative. Participants remain responsible for their personal decisions and for seeking appropriate professional care when needed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black River Biblical Counseling & Black River Nurse Consulting is not responsible for decisions made solely from information provided through these services.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled with reasonable safeguards. Electronic communication, including email, may not be completely secure.
Information may be disclosed when required by law, necessary for safety or mandatory reporting, or appropriate for ACBC supervision and certification.

10. Emergencies
Black River Biblical Counseling & Black River Nurse Consulting does not provide emergency or crisis services.
For a medical or mental-health emergency, call 911 or seek immediate emergency care.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
