Black River Biblical Counseling & Black River Nurse Consulting provides Scripture-centered biblical counseling, nursing education and consultation, breastfeeding and lactation education, and supportive family services.

Services are provided by Sarah Zavatchin, RN, BSN, CLC, a Wisconsin-licensed Registered Nurse and ACBC Phase 3 Biblical Counseling Trainee.

Biblical Counseling

Biblical counseling is Christian discipleship grounded in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. It seeks to provide biblical encouragement, instruction, hope, and practical application of God's Word.

Biblical counseling is not psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or licensed mental-health treatment. Services provided during the ACBC certification process are part of ACBC Phase 3 training and follow applicable ACBC requirements and guidelines.

Nursing & Lactation Services

Nursing consultation and lactation education are provided within the applicable scope of Wisconsin nursing practice and professional standards.

These services are educational and supportive and do not replace individualized medical care, diagnosis, or treatment from a physician or other qualified healthcare provider.

No Emergency or Crisis Services

Services provided through this website are not intended for medical or mental-health emergencies or crisis situations.
