Who I am

It Takes a Village to Raise a Family

Guiding Families With Faith, Care, and Clarity

Biblical Counseling Trainee | Registered Nurse | Christ-Centered Care

I’m Sarah Zavatchin, RN, BSN, CLC — a Registered Nurse and Biblical Counseling trainee committed to serving individuals and families through Christ-centered care rooted in the sufficiency of Scripture.

God’s Word is sufficient for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). True and lasting change comes through the transformation of the heart as people grow in the knowledge of Christ and walk in obedience to Him.

As I pursue certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), my desire is to walk alongside individuals and families in discipleship—helping them interpret life through God’s Word, respond in faith, and grow in Christlikeness.

As a wife of over 20 years and a foster and adoptive mother of six, I understand both the beauty and weight of family life. These experiences shape how I care for others—with patience, humility, and a commitment to speak truth in love.

While my nursing background includes women’s health, lactation support, pediatrics, complex and ongoing medical needs, adoption and foster care, and end-of-life care, my primary focus is always the heart. Clinical care supports the body, but Scripture speaks to the deepest needs of the soul.

Black River Mobile Farm

A setting for connection, reflection, and truth.

Through Black River Mobile Farm, I offer sheep and goat experiences that create a peaceful, relational environment for families, children, and small gatherings.

This is not therapy.
It is a space where relationships are built, hearts are quieted, and biblical truth can be shared naturally.

The imagery of shepherding throughout Scripture points us to Christ as the Good Shepherd—faithful, present, and caring for His people. These moments often open doors for meaningful conversation, encouragement, and discipleship.
